Ride into work via le col de la Poya. Not too bad this morning but I was rolling along. The climb is 7.5km for 550m of V+.

Spent an hour doing some classic ski diagonal stride balance and stability exercises. The principal aim is to be balanced on the front of the kick ski (front wheel) at the end of the push phase.

I didn't have too long so cut things a bit short compared to normal. Not too hot, which is a change. Stopped to chat to a guy who was interested in cross skates.

Climb via Ste Agnes to get a bit of altitude on the road to Grenoble. The climb has some little ramps on it but is mercifully short.

Got my classic rollerskis out for a change and went on a long but thankfully shady and early ski.

I wanted to skate home from work. Around 15km along the tow path which seemed to be the only valid route and then only possible with cross skates as 6km is on gravel tracks.

I decided to ride home from the lac du Bourget this afternoon, but via the Relais du Mont du Chat and the col de l'Epine.

A cross skate tour around the Bois Francais trails with the CS38 group. Quite a few small ups and downs to tackle; some easy, some more challenging without brakes and small wheels.

Took the towpath south from Brignoud bridge (currently shut to vehicles) as far as the Batie bridge. The path is good on cross skates, much better than the continuation to the north.

I tried the north towpath from Brignoud road bridge to see if it was ok on cross skating.
