le Venon #winteriscoming
The heat wave finally broke with a return to cooler temperatures, so much so I had to wear an undervest and a cycling jacket in the morning.
Back to Rollerski
Back to rollerskiing, pace just under 4minutes / km; so a good running pace :-) but not so fast for rollerskiing. Still it is supposed to be training.
Tour of Lake Annecy, right bank; Northern Alps; France
The tour of the lac d'Annecy is around 45km. Flat on the left bank, hilly on the right due to the Roc de Chère nature reserve.
Gieres - Venon
Decided to take this nice little climb and loop back around via the Venon descent. 21m44 for the climb, a bit off the 20m03 of last year but not too bad as I'm a bit bushed with work at the moment.
Skate + swim
I got up reasonably early (for a Sunday) but it was already warm, fortunately the first section is in the trees. I skated at a reasonable pace, more focussed on technique hence 3m51 overall.
Run and swim
Posted as the route around Pettenasco is interesting. 1.5km by the lake, 1km on a small loop through the village with a climb then 1.5km return giving just 4km overall.
Via Rhona La Balme-les-Grottes to Lyon, France
I saw that Amberieu was 20 minutes by train from Lyon which meant I could cycle a chunk of the Via Rhona, the long distance cycle path that goes from Geneva to the Mediterranean sea.
It was almost like end of season conditions. Snow cover is very thin.
Inline along the Isere
Decided to inline today as it was easier to get the skates out. Legs a bit tired an achy at the start but ok on the return - must be the boots and position.
First alpine ski of 2022
First alpine ski of this season. Better than expected given the recent high altitude rain with soft snow and very little ice.
