From the Col de Pré Long (1194 meters) take a forest path that joins the road at pt 1332 meters and from there to the parking la Souille at 1358 meters.

Classic lunch loop for local riders and used in an autumn hill climb. The road is largely in the shade, great in high summer, very cold in the late autumn and even icy in the winter.

A gentle ride through the valley with a return along the foothills, autumn is here and they say snow in the mountains tomorrow.

There are over 40 hairpins on the 450 meter/8% climb to Monte Rosso. This has the advantage that the climb is never too steep. The road on the last km to the restaurant is not in great condition.

Start on the round-about at the end of the Via Renco on the NW outskirts of Verbania. Climb to the Alpine village of Miazinna, Alpe Pala and the war memorial.
