Climb from Brignoud to Laval. The first part of the climb to the hairpin is quite steep then it flattens a bit up to Laval and there is some tree cover in places in the summer. At the left hand hairpin in Laval village take the small road to the right heading to la Boutiere. This has little traffic and is shaded in woods on the climb. The climb is steep with hairpins before flattening out for a couple of km. At la Boutiere take the balcony road to the right to climb 2km to the Col des Mouilles then descend the south side.
Nice little climb and quiet after Laval.
PR today, 49:16, VAM of 937. Very good.
Damp roads, the tree cover and west aspect kept the roads wet despite the dry weather, but at least it is cool; a good plan on a hot midday
