Testing out my workout program on the fitness watch by doing my 4 x 1km training run. Intervals were 4.59 dropping to 5.15 on the last interval with a 90s-2m rest in between intervals.

I wanted to try a longer tour of the Mont d'Or above Lyon returning to the Chemin du Tignot which I haven't ridden for a decade. It is as poorly surfaced as ever, well worse than that.

I decided to spend a bit fo time doing some no poles exercises aimed at improving balance but not ideal as a huge number of people in the park for a running race.

I'd not fully explored the Miribel Jonage park on rollerskis.

For the return to Lyon I thought I'd explore the city center on rollerskis a bit. After a loop of the park to warm up I headed through the tunnel Modes Doux than over the Saone.

A couple of minutes off my March 2022 time but it was probably colder 10C on the climb and 12C in the valley with drizzle. However a PR on the flat section, a phyrric victory :-).

It has been a while since we've been up to Aix les Bains, last year the petrol costs were off-putting plus too many other distractions. S-N along the lake into the wind was not bad at 3m46.
