History

Atomic is part of AMER Sports Corporation based in Helsinki. AMER is one of the world's leading sports-equipment conglomorates and apart from Atomic owns Suunto? and in 2005 bought Salomon from Adidas. The Atomic Division includes the following brands: ATOMIC (Alpine and Nordic Skiing plus Snowboarding), Dynamic for Alpine Skiing, Volant for high-segment skiing, Oxygen for Snowboarding and Koflach for Mountaineering.

Atomic has been present in the ski industry since 1955 and began binding manufacture in 1988. In 1989 they bought Koflach who manufacture mountaineering and ski mountaineering equipment. Atomic's factory based in Altenmarkt in Austria nestles in a valley surrounding by the Austrian Alps.
