The MX8 is a new (for 2004/5) model from Atomic aimed at freeride skiers. It is a large ski with good floatation and stability at speed although it lacks some precision when pushed. It doesn't have the same torsional rigidity of the Atomic MX:9 but never the less gives good grip on hard snow and is comfortable in a wide variety of conditions particularly for short and medium radius turns. A good ski for mixed piste/touring use available in a wide choice of lengths.
