Col du Glandon in the cold
It has been like winter this May. Rain, snow, cold, wind. Not very inviting. Finally a break in the weather, a bit unexpected and I decided to ride the Croix de Fer or Glandon.

Narbonne, Cols de Clémencières and Vence
1h25 for the loop but a bit tight as I only had 1h30 for lunch so had to push it after the climb.

Chamrousse, Belledonne, France
Trip ReportTot reminded me that it was 5 years since we last skied at Chamrousse, at least alpine skied.

Another bite of the Madeleine
I parked up at la Grande Croix d'Aiguebelle. A hamlet at the entrance to the Maurienne valley. In the drought the river was dry but the fountain still worked.

Coiromonte
A trip to Orta isn't complete without a Coiromonte. Well that is not really true but it is quite an interesting climb and only takes just over an hour.

Col de Pré to the Cormet de Roselend
Second big col of the spring campaign. This time we drove to Beaufortain as Mike finds the Albertville road uninteresting and very busy. He's not wrong. We too the back road to Arêches.

The Long Climb
I decided to start early 7h20 but could easily have started an hour earlier with the temperatures.

Narbonne - Clemenciere, again
Back to the Narbonne to do the climb from the bottom this time. It is really steep for the first km or two which doesn't seem to show up in the stats. The ramps are really over 10%.

Climb to Paradise
A little lunch ride as the weather was pleasant. The road from the Dog and Cat home to le Paradis really is steep with lots of little ramps, thankfully short but with quite a bit of traffic.

Narbonne, Clémencières, Vence; Chartreuse, France
The Narbonne climb is a new one to me. Much nicer than the usual ride to the col de Clémencières. Not a car and pretty. The climb is 10% over 300 meters vertical which I managed with a VAM of 1000.
