A quick tour on nordic touring skis towards Emeindras above le Sappey. There was 10 to 15cm of fresh powder on the trail so I remade tracks but stopped just before the summit as it had started to get dark. Skiing down required a bit of pushing in places. Quite a few classic skiers ascending despite the late hour. Will probably be good tomorrow for skating once all it pisted on the trails. Certainly no lack of snow for Christmas. 80-90cm has fallen at the Col de Porte just up the hill.
Not cold, heavy snow from 600 meters. Very complicated on the roads.
