Cross of the Red Peak
I had already covered about 20 km of cross-country skiing, but since I was in the resort at Chamrousse, I decided to combine it with a ski tour afterwards.

Chamechaude: an evening ski tour between two seasons

Back to the roots
I had initially considered heading up to Chamechaude, the highest summit in the Chartresue, but the avalanche bulletin (Thursday and Friday), combined with poor visibility and continued strong winds

L'Orionde North East Bowl
I parked in the new parking lot. It took me 5 minutes to find snow. Some people parked at the Betta or even higher but in theory it is banned to use the road before the 31 March.

Early Nordic Skitour
First ski tour of the new season. I took nordic skis. Roads were clear of snow to 1350 meters and the FL was around about this altitude according to the car thermometer.

April Fools dôme des Oudis
Le 7 Laux ski resort closed on March 29th due to storm Nelson. Lord Nelson? The perfidious Albion has struck again, ruining the locals' plans for skiing.
