Trip with Mike to the Pas de la Coche and beyond! The road is blocked at 1230 m but possible to drive around the barrier to the summer car park at 1330 meters. Climb to the Coche was fairly efficient, a couple of hours to cover the 850 meters. We climbed to the summit to the south of the pass to have a bit of sun and spring snow.
The ski down was excellent. Spring snow, perhaps a bit overcooked at 4pm in the sun then chalky powder below the col with sections of old powder until the Venetiers valley. The forest trail and pistes were excellent, superb snow with sufficient depth.
Spring snow, somewhat humid on certain south facing slopes. Chalky snow or old powder on north sector slopes. Generally good skiing, excellent in the forest.
