Mont Thou afterwork
Have to watch the timings now as it is getting dark by 20h30 although not too bad in the city with the neon lights so pretty.Ride up to Mont Thou by the route du Genie.

A bit of Coq
Last gasp to do some vertical, I wanted to reach 10,000 meters but miscalculated and fell 600m short for August. 1h19 for the Col, not too bad but still below the magic VAM of 800.

Ride/Swim/Ride Miribel Jonage
Trip out to the lake via the towpaths to swim. Not too cold and very pleasant in the lake. Getting dark early, around 21h ish and you are done.

Return to the Colma di Valpiana; Lake Orta; Italy
Reverse of my previous trip. This time climbing by the easier route but with the poor road surface. It really is much easier this way with just a couple of short ramps to conquer.

Giro di Lago d'Orta
A day of flatter riding with a classic tour of lake Orta from Pettenasco with a little detour to check out the fish ponds of Laghetti di Nonnio. The road up to the ponds has a few steep ramps.

Mottarone; Lake Orta
I fancied covering 1000 vertical meters via Miasino this time as the initial climb to Armeno.

Alpe Loccia
Finally made it to the village, it wasn't much beyond where I stopped last time but still a few very steep 20% ramps to conquer to get there. I didn't explore too far.

Col de Tougnète; Vanoise; France
According to several sources, the Tougnète Pass via the D96 is the most difficult climb in France.

La Boutière, Belledonne
Lunch ride to cover a few kms before the vacation. It was actually a bit more climbing than I expected, around 700 meters.
