Janvril AOC 2022
I haven't skied the Virgule couloir this year. An error but conditions have not been good with the long anti-cyclone and I've also been very busy.

Aulp du Seuil, and why not?
The clocks have changed so it is difficult to find the right timing for a before work.

Aulp du Seuil, first of the season
First aulp du Seuil of the ski season, better late than never. I'd hoped for more snow, the avalanche bulletin had mentioned 20cm of fresh, it was probably a quarter of that.

Couloir en Virgule Anthologic
Trips like this only happen a few times per season. 20-25cm of fresh, cold snow with a descent just after dawn in perfect conditions.

Couloir Virgule before Carmen
The weather service announced a window from 10 to 2 pm, just before the arrival of storm Carmen. It had snowed overnight but only about 15cm.

Vallon de Marcieu
This is the first time this year that conditions have been acceptable for this route. Some guys attempted it after the 11 Jan snowfall, which was fairly considerable but had to downclimb the couloir.
