First aulp du Seuil of the ski season, better late than never. I'd hoped for more snow, the avalanche bulletin had mentioned 20cm of fresh, it was probably a quarter of that. Chris and I took it easy on the climb. The couloir was ok to ski, especially on the sides. The fresh snow was on the layer of saharan sand that wasn't too frozen. Worth getting up early for although not really any sun due to clouds. Difficult to see where the avalanche risk would come from, except for purges when the sun comes out.
Trace of fresh snow at 1060. 5cm in the couloir.
