Description

The clocks have changed so it is difficult to find the right timing for a before work. I got up at 6 and it was still dark, dark to nearly 7 in fact and the sun didn't get above the Belledonne until nearly 8. Just enough to warm the snow of the couloir which was perfect even if there were a few too many old tracks at the bottom (can the locals only side slip ?) The woods are best forgotten about but afterwards the skiing was ok.

Conditions

Lots of foot prints on the climb, I had to put my skis on my sack in the cirque as it was too uneven on skis but it was tricky before. Frozen at 7h30. Couloir was spring snow, possible to ski to the bottom. Forest was wet snow, pretty much unskiable to I traversed over to the path. A small section above the teleski that was dry then the pistes which were still a bit frozen but possible to descend to the col. Overall 3/5 in the couloir, 2/5 elsewhere.
