Very fast tour today. I profited a bit from sheltering behind cyclists where possible. Average speed was 23.9 km/h which is quite good given the climb and complex nature of the semi urban roads.

Trying some new roads. I went along the Saône to a spot called Hawaii - people surf here on the waves.

I was a bit late getting out so had to hurry on the ride out. Lucky was able to ride with someone else to the Isle de Barbe and there was still a bit of a headwind.

A short lunch ride, I had just over an hour to do a tour but wanted a bit of climb.

RouteCar park (often busy) on Avenue Ampere just coming out of St Didier du Mont D'or - opposite the Aux Montagnards restaurant which does Savoie specialities.

A little lunch ride with slightly uncertain weather. Climb to mont Cindre took 28m30 from the Ile de Barbe, a VAM of 621 for a 4.5% slope (although with quite a few ramps and flats). Not too bad.

They say to find your maximum heart rate you need to ride hard then go as hard as you can. Well nothing better than Mont Thou and the ramp in the village to do that.

Traditional end of season at les Arcs. We didn't ski the whole 4 hours of our lift pass as I'm still recovering from my January accident but we were not far off.

Tour on the flat. Took the Ch. de l'Empereur up. Some sections have suffered in the winter but beyond le Touvet it was good apart from a ford.

In the summer it is too hot for us to do this walk/trot/run as there is little shade so we decided to try it earlier in the season.
