Ski-Areas > Northern Alps > Savoie (73) > Vanoise > Courchevel > Courchevel Off Piste > Col du Fruit
Take the Creux Noirs chair and duck under the rope marking the limit of the piste section (this is directly in front of the pisteurs hut!) then follow the ridge de Saulire to the Col du Fruit (2516 m), there are normally tracks but it is over 1km and will take around 45 minutes. From here you can either descend north back into the Creux bowl under the Aiguille du Fruit to rejoin the Creux piste. Alternatively you can ski to the south east into the Vallée du Fruit. The slope is steep but an even gradient and you will often find spring snow conditions (or crust!). This takes you a long way from the resort pistes and you eventually join the long off-piste Glacier de Gébroulaz? descent from Val Thorens. You are on the edge of the Vanois National Park and can see Ibex, large birds of prey and other wild animals. Once the valley is reached there is a long push to a col, then a nice descent toeventually reach the cross country skiing tracks by the lac de Tuéda. Watch the lift times if you are returning to Courchevel
