On the main strip just to the top of town the Frog & Roastbeef serves its usual mix of tasty homebrew and pub grub and claims to be the highest pub in Europe. However we found the excellent but crowded Red Fox up at the Balcons to be 10 meters higher.
We don't all ski 24/7, if there are shops: ski, fashion or bookstores you think people should know about mention them here.

I've skied with Philippe Martin, a French qualified ski instructor who teaches off-piste. A great guy with very good English. This is a short video taken during the SnowHeads.com end of season bash skiing with Philippe at the end of the 2007 season.
email: valtho@valthorens.com Christian (ché) has a fantastic page giving an interactive tour of the development of the Val Thorens ski lift system.
