Ski-Areas > Northern Alps > Haute-Savoie (74) > Chablais > Les Habères
The ski resort of Les Habères is situated in the Chablais area of the Haute-Savoie department in the Northern Alps region. The lift served area extends from 1000 metres to 1600 metres with slopes from green to black. The resort is connected to the Bellevaux-Hirmentaz-La-Chevrerie ski resort and ski passes also include St Jean d'Aulps/Roc d'Enfer ski resorts culminating at 1850 m. The main advantage of Les Habères is that you will not spend time queing at ski lifts because the resort is only known by locals from the Geneva region and does not adverstize itself outside of Switzerland and Savoie regions.
Mid-week skiing leaves the entire slopes to you and your family... There are 50 km of lift served runs and 24 ski lifts that cover both sides of the Hirmentaz range. There are 23 km of cross country trails. It is a charming little village only thirty minutes away from downtown Geneva by car which makes it a popular ski resort for locals as well as for tourists on a short visit.
Les Habères ski resort was created in the late seventies by the municipalities of Habere-Poche and Habere-Lullin, later a ski lift, the telesieges des cretes, connexion was made with the Hirmentaz/Bellevaux ski resort to give skiers a broader skiing area.
There are plentiful secured hors piste paths, thanks to the altitude and wood coverage avalanches are rare and skiing in the powdery snow is a real pleasure.
