The ski resort of Les Gets is situated in the Chablais area of the Haute-Savoie department in the Northern Alps region. It is part of the Portes du Soleil ski domain. The lift served area extends from 1172 metres to 2019 metres. There are 650 km of lift served runs. There are 18 km of cross country trails. The resort features a snowpark.
From 2006 the center of the village has been closed to traffic. The town center car park has been transformed into a square and drivers now have to park outside the village in free car-parking. The town is also participating in other measures to reduce pollution.
