Return to the scene of the crime with Luc but this time with around 15cm of fresh snow that fell the night before. This had much improved conditions and it was possible to ski from the Breche Arnaud at the top of the summit plateau to the col without removing skis except for the Pas du Lapins. The snow was a bit better below the summit plateau as it was less wind affected.
15cm of fresh snow on a firm base. Icy snow where it was wind affected. Strong winds from the north.
