The forecast was for rain so I was happy to see it was still dry at 9am so I headed to the dyke cycle path with my classic skis as I hadn't done this since the Semnoz.

I hadn't been out on the bike for some time so took the opportunity of a dry day to ride into work then up the Venon climb.

The Col de la Loze is a new paved road pass in France having only been opened in the spring of 2019. From Brides-les-Bains there is 23.5km of climbing with a total vertical of 1700 meters.

Back to climbing on classic skis.

Classic rollerski drills on the Isere tow path. Speed a bit better compared to last summer, 29 minutes for the return trip as opposed to 31 minutes last year. Got into a good rythm on the way back.

I was using my old flexi skating boots for classic but the inner lining tore and they were getting pretty uncomfortable so I got a pair of Atomic Pro CS boots.

I took a detour on the way home. It was very chilly with a north wind. The road works up to Revel seem to be over and I continued through St Jean le Vieux.

I haven't had time to get out much the last few days so decided to roll a bit afterwork. Headwind going to Grenoble that seemed to drop for the return trip.
