Weather was forecast as good for the morning with fresh snow moving in during the course of the afternoon, so it looked good for another pre-season trip to the Sept laux. 15 year old son is now able to drive so he took the car up and down, which was nice for me to have a chauffeur. More terrain has opened up, including the Vallons du Pra but that needed a walk out so we decided to just ski what was lift served. You can't ski below Pipay at 1600m and south facing slopes are thin below 2000m. Apart from that all is good with some excellent early season conditions and not too many crowds.
Some fresh snow off piste but pretty skied out now. Obviously north aspects better. Fresh snow fell Sunday night to 1300m, otherwise it is skiable down to about 1600 meters off piste, with care.
