Ski-Areas > Northern Alps > Savoie (73) > Tarentaise > Val Thorens > Aiguille de Peclet west face
From the ski resort climb to the south-east towards the Lacs de Tête Ronde then the Tête Ronde. At around 2800 m you join the Glacier de Péclet. The exit onto the face is obvious. There is less chance of stonefall on the right bank of the glacier. Take crampons, ice-ax and glacier rescue kit. The Peclet glacier is crevassed with a rimaye at the top.
In the late spring it is possible to drive higher in a light car/4x4. Pass in front of the tennis courts and stop when you are blocked by snowcover.
