The ski resort of Orelle is situated in the Maurienne area of the Savoie department in the Northern Alps region. It is part of the Trois Vallées ski domain. The lift served area extends from 1800 metres to 3230 metres. There are 600 km of lift served runs including the links areas. Orelle is a backway into the Val Thorens ski resort but challenging runs have developed on the Orelle side of the mountain in the Cime de Carron area. It also features some excellent off-piste. The resort has 3.2km of artificial snow making using 44 canons supplied by York neige.

The Ecole du Ski Français in Orelle has decided to specialse in off-piste skiing and offer trips to the best off-piste areas of the Maurienne valley. They also propose a limited number of heliski strips to a range of sites in Italy.
