Garmont Mega Ride G-Fit
These are the latest thing in AT/Randonee ski boots. A lightweight (3240 grams in Mondo 27) four clip + powerstrap design gives performance that approaches alpine ski boots. The double injection Pebax shell is a remarkably light and thin affair but holds the foot very well and has good thermal characteristics. It is easy to get the foot in and out of the boot and remove the liner for drying in a refuge. The boot is compatible with Dynafit bindings.
The boots fits an average to narrow width foot. We found the 2004/5 model somewhat flappy and not that stiff. This issue has been addressed and the 2005/6 boot is much stiffer and similar to the Garmont Adrenalin from which it borrows some of the tongue design.
2006-2007 Model The 2006 boot gets the Garmont Endorphin Mg's robust magnesium ice-breaker buckles and is rechristened the Garmont Mega Ride Mg. It also gets the new g-fit 3 or pad-lock inner boots.
