Dynafit returned to the drawing board for the 2007/8 season. The name Zzero signifies that the boots have been rebuilt from the sole upwards. While Scarpa and Garmont are focusing on the slackcountry market with heavy touring boots that owe much to alpine designs Dynafit is keeping the accent on light weight.

Dynafit Zzero3 C TF

The Zzero3 C-TF is a three buckle boot which tipped our scales at just 1470 grammes in size 27.5. It is similar to the 4 buckle C-TF with a carbon fibre powerstringer but with a lower cuff. It is a pure true ski touring boot with good climbing characteristics but the carbon fiber still gives it good stiffness and control in all but the toughest conditions and biggest skis.

Dynafit bills it as the lightest 3 buckle boot on the market. It has one buckle on the cuff with two positioned over the foot. The buckle have micro-metric adjustments and are made of magnesium. The ski/walk system is also new and subject to a patent, a 15/21 degree of forward lean can be set by the wearer. The boots are compatible with Dynafit's TLT binding system. They also have the new ISO9523 compatible DynaGrip rubber sole.
