The ski resort of Valloire is situated in the Maurienne area of the Savoie department in the Northern Alps region. It is part of the Valloire? ski domain. The lift served area extends from 1430 metres to 2600 metres. There are 150 km of lift served runs including Valmeinier. There are 25 km of cross country trails. The resort features a snowpark. Valmeinier 1500 can be reached using the Crey du Quart chair. If there is poor snow cover Valmeinier 1800 can be reached using the Combe drag. This lift is unsuitable for beginners.

Nearest Airport: Chambéry 100 km, Lyon Saint-Exupéry 195 km, Grenoble St Geoirs 130 km, Geneva Cointrin 180 km, Turin
Road: Autoroute A43 to St Michel de Maurienne, 17 km from Valloire then the D902 in the direction of the Col du Galibier.
The col du Galibier is open from mid-May to the end of October
Rail: TGVs from Paris to St Jean de Maurienne every day. Peak saturdays to St Michel/Valloire (17km). Otherwise TGV to Chambery then local train to St Michel.
Daily bus service from St Michel to Valloire (Tel. 0 820 227 413 - http://www.altibus.com/).
