Took the Montee de Choulans from Perrache, hard at first but it went by a flat I wanted to look at. Pleasant on top of Fourviere, 4C cooler. Descent always sporty due to poor 1970s braking. The climb is 125m over 2.5km. Not exactly a Grand Col but still. Then along the river, very pleasant as it is partly shady and up the Castellane climb to Caluire, or it is Cuire? After a steep descent St Clair and back along the Rhone, by 1pm it was getting hot. Lots of people about enjoying the good weather.
Warm, 27C in the valley, 23C on the summits. Wind from the north.
