With the first snows of winter on the mountain tops it seemed like the ideal time to get the rollerskis out. I've not done any this year as focused on cross country skiing during the winter (naturally) and cycling in the spring and summer. I was a bit bambi like when I first got on the contraptions but after about 1km got back into the swing and decided to do the whole section of new cycle path from Crolles city to Tencin bridge. Apart from where farmers were working the scattering crap on the path it was pretty good, very smooth tarmac and wide enough for people to pass each other without any moaning or conflict.
Took about 4m/km for the loop, not too bad but the path is quite interesting with some small climbs and descents but a bit noisy with the autoroute and low sun for the return.
Pleasant late afternoon autumn day. Farmers had left lots of sweetcorn husks on the path at one point - about 200 meters of slalom, apart from that the path had been swept last week.
