It might seem logical climbing Mt Thou via the eponymous road but it is around to the east side of the mountain so not totally convenient. I cycled along the river to Collonges au Mont Dore but should have carried on to St Romain where the climb starts. The climb is a series of steep hairpins, 220 meters as 7.5% or 370m to the top of Mont Thou. Not great on my 42x24 gears. I took a quick snap at the top towards the Alps then straight back down into Lyon with a very strong headwind.
Warmish but with a strong southerly wind.
