The 40cm of fresh snow from yesterday has seen a bit of sun and wind. It was both hard climbing and hard descending. To climb the Venetiers we followed the bed of a point avalanche that must have happened yesterday as this mean less snow to break trail. Otherwise the dense powder was like cement, hard to climb and hard to descend with anything other than fat skis.
