Climb the combe d'Arpire to the south until to reach the col then follow the short ridge to right (west) to the summit. Keep you distance from the steep slopes of the Aiguille du Grand Fond that have a habit of avalanching.

Comments on route: Classic end of season route, apart from the final climb the slopes are under 30 degrees but you pass under some steeper terrain.

Access: When the col is opened (end of May) from Albertville or Bourg St Maurice direction col du Cormet de Roselend (road closed at Beaubois in the winter)
