Today tot and I decided to revisit the Col de l'Arzelier. Tot had some of his early ski experiences in this small and somewhat remote ski area. Today we were back to check out the off piste possibilities. It is quite extensive given the limited vertical but only really interesting the day after fresh snow. The Mauret sector has fairly open woodland as well as the old Grand Bois piste. We also skied the summer MTB trail and the links between the main ski area and the Mauret. The are under the chair lift is also skiable, quite steep expert terrain at the top but rolling at the bottom and ideal for kids.
Weather: Sunny but with cloud base at 1400 m.
Access: Snow from 3km before the col
