Reasonably dry except on the steep section just before the col de la croix des Ayes where the stones were humid and a bit slippery. The route is pretty logical. Virtually no portage except a hundred meters by the reservoirs at les Hurtieres where the gravel is a bit tricky. The descent is much steeper than the climb and the off road climbing is limited. Descent on the sunny side of the mountain with some views over the Gresivaudan. The riding is not that technical, worth dropping the saddle after the Grange de Chazay but watch out for walkers and their dogs.
Weather: Hot (31C at 19h00) and sunny but climb from Tigneux is in the shade.
