Description

A quick Charvet under grey skies and very light rain. The snow had changed a lot and was heavy and stickly. Luc was suffering from snow sticking to his old skins. Lots of tracks on the Pravouta and a track and skiers heading to the Dent de Crolles. The Dent de Crolles prairie was very wind blown with no snow on the ridge and col des Ayes.

No problems with rocks/trees with the very dense 35/40 cm of heavy powder. Lots of wind but the route was sheltered except at the summit. The snow had a crust at 15cm but appeared stable. However under the crust the snow was uncohesive and hollow in places.

Weather: Overcast, very strong SE->NW wind transporting snow. Yesterday afternoons tracks on the summit were filled in.

Access: Some snow above le Baure
