Snowshoe tour close to home to see the snow conditions. The weather never cleared up. Pravouta has lots of signs up now banning skiing etc from most of the traditional ski touring slopes. Snowline around 1250 meters with about 20cm of snow at the summit at 1730 meters. Snow is quite dense, ok for snowshoeing.
Route Taken: Tour of the summit via the Col de Pravouta. Climbed the SE then NE side, descended the West side which had most snow.
Weather: Low cloud, 3C at 1400 meters.
Access: Slush on the road from 1300 meters.
