Return to St Hilaire du Touvet for a few runs after it had been shut for a couple of years due to lack of snow
Largely seemed to be locals up on the plateau des Petites Roches. Now run by volunteers they had trouble getting the upper runs opened but that is to be expected after 2 seasons without any real activity. The two main pistes were, well unpisted. The Pierre Aigue was okay to ski but mogulled but the Combe was quite hard with frozen ruts. Ski tourers didn't seem that happy with what they found and many people didn't do a second run on the upper slopes. We did 4, which was enough for us. Didn't try any of the off piste routes we know, not enough snow depth.
Good snow cover but icy and unpisted.
