I wanted to take advantage of the good weather and snow. Who knows what tomorrow will bring? The trails were open on the traverse down to the 4 chemins with good snow, quite rare recently. The climb up to the refuge was good and I didn't cross anyone but there were a few people up on the plateau. A problem with the piste basher meant they hadn't pisted many of the trails up top. So a quick loop of the Cret then back down in the late winter afternoon sun. Quite gloomy at 4pm back at the trailhead.
Reasonably mild but snow still good. Not much open at the refuge. A lot of cars but presumably walkers/ski tourers.
