First alpine ski of this season. Better than expected given the recent high altitude rain with soft snow and very little ice. Off piste below about 2000m was risky with a lot of rocks just below the surface. Still powder around on north faces but that will change with the zero isotherm going to 3500m the next days. We had a lunch rdv so only skied a couple of hours. Very few people around despite being the start of Christmas week.
Good snow, about 50cm depth at 1400m.
