HATadventures has launched a snow and weather report service for the Tarentaise Valley to help skiers who are thinking about going off piste. It covers Val d’Isere, Sainte Foy, Les Arcs and La Plagne resort areas and goes much further than the snow depth and temperature shown by standard computer generated reports.
You can get the service by signing up on the website. You will receive a weekly overnight email delivered sometime between Wednesday and Thursday. The weather content draws from five different weather models and provides a “consensus view” to give you an idea of what is predicted for the following 5 days.
The snow report is based on the HATadventures personal observations from skiing the off-piste in the Tarentaise. They also include the typical snow depths found in the area during that week. The avalanche safety advice and snow stability report is a translation of the official bulletins published by Meteo France
All this coupled with a webcam of the week and packaged up into one simple email that keeps you up to date with off-piste conditions in the Tarentaise.
