Henry’s Avalanche Talk (HAT) is launching a new programme bringing its “safety is freedom” message to skiers out on the snow. HATadventures will provide 4 day weekend programmes based in Sainte Foy for skiers who want to build their confidence and knowledge about how to enjoy the off-piste and stay safe.
Val d’Isère avalanche educator Henry Schniewind has created a successful programme of talks aimed at helping keen skiers understand the dangers that are present outside of marked ski runs and how skiers and boarders can stay safe. His talks have become one of the must-do events for off-piste skiers and boarders in the Alps. Henry’s Avalanche Talks are held throughout the season in Val d’Isere, Sainte Foy, Meribel and Val Thorens.
HATadventures are designed for skiers who want to discover off-piste for themselves and want to understand how to stay safe and have fun but perhaps lack the confidence to do it. They go much further than just finding great snow and giving you a fantastic day out. The courses you to understand snow, where to find the best conditions, where it is safest to ski as well as how to ski off-piste.
If you have been to a Henry’s Avalanche Talk you will recognize the style but the courses are out on the snow for 4 days not confined to the classroom or stuck in a snow pit.
