We received our first snowfall of the season here in the Chablais. I went out for a walk with the children, the snowline was about 1800m, the real snow started at about 1900m, I hear that at 3000m there has been 30cm.

According to my memory this snowfall is 2 weeks earlier than the first similar snowfall last year, this is just an observation, I’m not drawing any conclusions from this.
Does anyone know of an online historical record of snowfalls (piste depths would do) that is easily accessible? I see the Ski Club (in the UK) has one but I need to join to view.
