Description

This route has a couple of interesting points

1. A lot of it is on cycle paths and relatively quiet roads
2. It has a couple of fun climbs, fast descents mixed with a nice amount of flat

The section from Lyon crosses the Park of the Golden Head, through the campus then onto the cycle path to the Big Park of Miribel Jonage. From here you cross the river and 1km of main road followed by the Neyron climb with views of the lakes. Traverse Sathonay Village for a fast descent to Fontaine sur Saone and the short but challenging climb of the Route de Mont Thou. All that remains is to roll back down to Lyon.

Conditions

Like spring. Even the roads were dry by mid afternoon
