It was a day to be on classic skis and with a climb time of 34m53 despite some icy sections. I passed a number of skaters bogged down on the slush. I think my previous PR on classic skis was 36:36 so that's pretty good for a 3.6km, 300 meter climb. I could go faster as the problem isn't technique but fitness.
Hard snow in the shade. Soft, slushy snow in the sun. 11C at the Col, very warm at altitude with a slightly overcast sky.
