Description

A last minute outing this morning after dropping the boy at school at 9am. Le Jasse and Jas were skied yesterday so maybe something in between? Not much snow below 1400 meters. It is possible to park at the Bedina Bridge or even higher. However the depth increases rapidly with 1 meter at the Habert / Refuge (1800m.).

There was a very strong southerly wind. It was moving snow off the ridges and peaks. It also slowed the thaw a bit. The snow is generally smooth, with good grip when climbing. Arriving at Dent de Bedina the wind was very very strong (beware of the skins)! The snow was hard just below the summit then very good spring snow to the Habert. The border is in excellent condition.

Conditions

Winds, lack of snow at low altitude. Little transformation with the wind but good grip descending.
