An easy evening gravel ride in the Grésivaudan valley, between Crolles and the Bois Français.

Bought a tri suit so I can cycle and swim. Seems like a good plan in the dog days of a Lyon summer. Tri suit takes a long time to dry mind you but is comfortable to ride in.

Tour on the flat. Took the Ch. de l'Empereur up. Some sections have suffered in the winter but beyond le Touvet it was good apart from a ford.

The climb from la Terrace or via the Chateau du Carré at Lumbin to St Bernard du Touvet is 7km over 635m giving an average of just over 9% but after km4 there is a 1km section at 11%.
