A little afternoon tour at St Hilaire seemed reasonable before the next storm. All the runs are open now but the resort had only pisted one side which seemed like a good idea for the free-riders.

Our first trip up to St Hilaire this season. There had been around 50cm of snow the last week but very little below 1100 meters. Fortunately there is snow making lower down.

This review looks at the southern part of the Espace Diamant ski area in the French Northern Alps. On the day of our visit the northern sector had shut for the season despite good snow cover.

There are two parts to this ski area. A number of ski lifts in the village, now reduced in size to cut operating costs and a high area on Mont Margériaz.
