With considerable avalanche risk in the Chartreuse, large skier triggered slabs possible on north facing slopes according to the bulletin, it was not a day to tempt the devil.

Col du Coq with Junior
The original plan for the day was to ski in the Bauges but with 30cm of fresh snow and poor weather in the morning my friends decided to stay local with a "safe" option.

First tracks on the Dent de Crolles
It is rare to make tracks on the Dent de Crolles these days but the fresh snow and wind had wiped any old tracks and at 9am no-one had yet set out for this iconic summit.

Pravouta SW Bowl

Orionde North-East Bowl
From Prabert (barrier 1088m December to March) follow the road east to 1300 meters (car park), From here take a trail to the right to the Pont de la Betta.

Tour du Pin
Chris had taken a half day from work so the idea was not to go too far but do something a little technical. To our surprise, despite recent snowfall to 800m, there was little snow below 1200m.

Tour du Pin, Coche to Aigleton
From the parking at Prabert (pont de la Betta 1336m after March) follow the GR549 trail to the Habert d'Aiguebelle at 1800m. Continue east to the Pas de la Coche (2030 m).
