Description

A difficult back climb, favourite of Jeanne Longpoe back in the day. The appetizer is the Chemin de St Bruno from Haut Meylan. A km of climbing at 12.5%. A traverse lets you recover a bit then the main course, the Chemin de Chantemerle (Singing Blackbird) 3km at 9% with a ramp of 1km at 13%... or more. Return via the main road to Grenoble or Meylan via Rochasson.

Not much shade, not a ride for midday in summer !!!

Lunch at the Cafe des Alpes - omlette as usual. I had to cut through a garden at the end as the road got too steep > 20%

Conditions

Dry and sunny.
